Concert Band, Symphony and String Orchestra will all perform at the SCSBOA Regional Festival at Colony High School on Friday! We wish them the best of luck!

To Qualify for “Regionals” groups must earn a “Superior” rating at local SCSBOA, “District” festivals.

Concert Band -
Call time at CV: 10:00am (equipment Crew 9:45 pm to load)
Warm up: 11:45am
Perform: 12:15pm
Sightread: 12:45pm
Return to CV: 3:15
Misc:
Wear Concert Dress.
We will be performing “Sun Dance” and “Holst Suite”
We will take a bus to Colony High School.
Bring money for Lunch!

Symphony Orchestra
Call time at CV: 11:25pm
Warm up: 2:30pm
Perform: 3:00pm
Sightread: 3:30pm
Return to CV: 5:30pm
Misc:
Wear Concert Dress.
We will be performing “Ruslan and Ludmilla Overture” and “Beethoven’s Symphony No. 6 1^st Mvt.”
We will take a bus to Colony High School.
Bring money for Food!

String Orchestra
Call time at CV: 1:00pm
Warm up: 3:30pm
Perform: 4:00pm
Sightread: 4:30pm
Return to CV: 6:30pm
Misc:
Wear Concert Dress.
We will be performing “Pagodas” and “American Rondo”
We will take a bus to Colony High School.
We will not stop for food so make sure you eat at Lunch before we leave to go. I want to make sure that we get back by 7:00pm in case people want to go to the Choral Pops Concert.

Week 16: Concert Week!

This Thursday, May 2nd the CVHS Instrumental Music Department will present it’s annual “Pops Concert” in the Mac Donald Auditorium starting at 7:00pm! This year the theme is Movie Music and you won’t be disapointed! You’ll hear classics like “Dancing in the Rain,” to modern movie themes from “Lord of the Rings,” and “The Dark Knight.” We’ll have a tribute to the Modern Movie Music Maven John Williams and even pay homage to cartoon movies with a piece entitled “Hunting Wabbits.”

Tickets are $8.00 for adults and $5.00 for students.

Week 14: Korean BBQ!!!

See the CV Jazz Band, Drum Line, Color Guard and a traditional Korean Fan Dance!

Spring Concert Week

After an amazing tour of New York, the CV Instrumental Department will host it’s annual Spring Concert TONIGHT, March 29th, 2013 at 7:00pm in the MacDonald Auditorium.

Tickets are only $5.00 for Students / Kids and $8.00 for adults.
