What a wonderful performance today at the SCSBOA La Canada Festival!!

String Orchestra performed “Dreams” by Brian Balmages as well as “Capriol Suite” by Peter Warlock.  They received an Excellent Rating and a SUPERIOR in Sight Reading!  I am so proud of your performance today! 
Out of three judges, we received two Exellents and one Superior!

Symphony Orchestra performed “Fidelio Overture” by Beethoven and “Prairie Journal” by Aaron Copland and  received a UNANIMOUS SUPERIOR rating AND Superior in Sight Reading.  Way to go!!!  I am proud of you!

What a wonderful time we had last week.  Sweeney Todd was pure amazement and Charlie Brown just reminded everyone about our childhood!

March 9th – Rosemont Assembly
(Jazz Band) – 5th/6th period
                       – Sweeney Performance – 6:15pm call time, 7:00pm show.
March 10th – Sweeney Performance (Closing Night!) – 6:15pm Call Time, 7:00pm Show.

March 11th – Charlie Brown Matinee – 1:15 call time, 2:00pm show.

Every group will meet at Crescenta Valley High School and take a bus to GHS.
                   7:45am – Call Time Band (9:00am perf., 10:30am return)
                   9:15am  – Call Time Symphony (10:30 perf., 11:30am return)
                   10:45am – Call Time String Orchestra (12:00 perf., 1:00pm return)
The GUSD Festival is open to the public and the following schools will be performing:  Rosemont, Glendale High, Hoover, Rosevelt, Wilson.
